Responsibility
I am a debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise, So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:14-16
A man starts his day the way he starts every day – rushing out of the house, grabbing a cup of coffee at Starbuck’s and arriving at the office in a nick of time. But this day does not end like the others. This day, he dies…
We like to believe a doctor will give us a “heads up” that death is near. Such is not always the case.
Unexpected automobile accidents, heart attacks and natural events (floods, hurricanes) are not rare occurrences. Wrapped up in our daily lives, it is easy to forget the LORD's commission:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20
Note, this is a command. It is not an option.
We are debtors whom God has commissioned to evangelize the lost.
Is there a soul in heaven or on earth that knows of the love of Christ because you have shared the gospel? We don't know how much time God has granted us.
Pay your debt.
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD
